Throughout June, we are commuting by bicycle to build awareness of mental health needs in our community.
In any typical year, one in five Canadians will experience a mental health problem, but over the past year, COVID-19 has really taken a toll on the mental health of our whole population.
For this one month, I will be one of thousands of Canadians riding or doing another activity to help fundraise for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) so they can provide more mental health support to those in need. These funds will reduce pressure on a health care system already hit hard by COVID-19.
I hope you will join me in supporting this worthwhile cause. You can support me by joining Medicine Shoppe Courtenay’s fundraising team or in spirit by making a donation on our donations page. Visit the Canadian Mental Health Association website for more details on this initiative and the mental health programs that they offer.
